Often as the business scales up, there would be scenarios where a shared hosting will not be sufficient. In such cases, one needs to check for alternate and more robust hosting options.
Most hosting platforms provide alternate hosting options to cater to high performance and speed requirements. One such hosting plan is the Hostinger’s Business hosting plan which focuses to provide better performance over shared hosting.
Let me start this by providing a brief overview of the company. Hostinger was first started in 2004. To its credit, Hostinger is spread across 178 countries and has over 29 million users.
Hostinger has had an exciting journey with a revolutionary growth, initially starting its services completely free. Officially in 2011, the brand Hostinger came into existence.
I will provide a detailed review of Hostinger Business plan along with the pros and cons of its services.
Pros of using Hostinger Business:
As always I will first discuss the pros of using Hostinger. Let me start this with performance and uptime.
Speed and Performance along with quick response times determine the usability of any hosting platform. In terms of performance, this has a good speed and response time as shown below-
This has a performance of A+, which is above average speed.
I have bought business hosting plan from Hostinger and monitoring its server speed performance through my website hostingpill-hr.website. Here is the result:
Similarly, a test on the first byte gave the above results which are good in terms of performance.
Pricing and Features:
Hostinger is known for its cheap hosting options. For quickly growing websites, shared hosting is not enough. This is when a business hosting plan like the one provided by Hostinger is helpful.
Hostinger’s Business hosting provides the power and reliability of VPS along with the simplicity of shared hosting. You get dedicated resources which are handled by Hostinger’ s support team.
Below is a snapshot of the pricing and features across the different business hosting plans available here. There are 3 Business hosting plans:
|Disk Space||40 GB||80 GB||160 GB|
|RAM||3 GB||6 GB||12 GB|
|CPU Cores||2||2X Speed Boost||3X Speed Boost|
|cPanel||Innovative cPanel||Innovative cPanel||Innovative cPanel|

Each plan offers a 45% discount for the first time users. At any point, a user can easily migrate from a shared hosting plan to a business plan using their cPanel.
The Startup plan is suitable for multiple larger-scale and growing websites. This includes speed boost, cache manager, dedicated resources, uptime monitoring, 1-Click installation, Daily backups, cPanel, free SSL.
In case of a professional plan, you get every thing that is part of the Startup plan. Additionally, you can enjoy higher configurations. It has a 2X speed boost. This plan is suitable for high-traffic and e-commerce websites.
Enterprise plan is designed for resource-heavy websites. This plan includes all the features of the professional plan, with higher configuration. This has a 3X speed boost.
With each plan, you also get loads of other benefits which I will get into more details in further part of my review.
A very important point to be considered for any hosting platform is its customer support. No matter how good the speed, performance, and uptime is, if the customer support is not efficient; then the hosting platform is bound to fail to attract customers.
You definitely do not want to struggle in order to get some hosting support. The good news is Hostinger does not disappoint you when it comes to customer support.
Hostinger has a 24/7 live chat option. Along with this, you can report an abuse, mail them, provide general enquiries over the website.
Hold on, that’s not all, they have a complete section of the website which is dedicated to the knowledge base, tutorials, and blogs. The knowledge base is well-segregated based on topic and you can search for any topic over here.
This cover most of the technical information and troubleshooting guides. This along with their vast tutorial guide is extremely helpful for newbies.
To check their customer support further, I initiated a live chat. The live chat started in almost 30 seconds. Though there was some wait time, still not too much of a wait time. The customer support provides prompt response for all the queries.
Security and added features:
Security of your website is definitely your top priority item. With Hostinger, there are essential security features which are covered as part of the plan.
It provides free SSL certificates with every plan you choose. Dedicated IP is also included.
Your website runs on the isolated virtual instance. Thus you can have full control of the resources.
As part of safety, automated daily backups are included as part of the plan. The security patches and upgrades are handled automatically.
Hostinger uses, integrated caching with cache manager to provide the ultra-quick website. Annual plans include a free domain, while most other hosting platforms charge a separate topup-fee for this.
Uptime monitoring is being done by Hostinger to quickly resolve situations of a sudden breakdown. CloudFlare protection is included for free. This provides Security and DDoS protection (applies on shared hosting plans only) with speed benefits of a content delivery network (CDN).
Speed and uptime, both are guaranteed.
Other security features added are BitNinja Smart Security. This provides all in one real-time protection. This can prevent XSS, DDoS, malware, script injection, brute force and other automated attacks.
Also included for free is SpamAssassin protection, which is a powerful email filter to block spams. This cleans the inbox and spam.
Money Back Guarantee:
Hostinger gives a 30-day money back guarantee. This allows you to gracefully try the different plans provided by Hostinger.
However, not all products are refundable. Few products have special refund terms which can be checked on Hostinger’ s refund policy.
Easy to Use:
Overall, Hostinger is extremely easy to use even for novice users. They do not have a traditional cPanel, which is why it’s simpler for beginners. Advance users who are accustomed to the traditional cPanel might find this a little unusual though.
Their dashboard is well segregated with various options such as Accounts, Emails, Domains, Websites, Files, Database and several other advanced options.
Almost everything is possible through their cPanel. Their free website builder is equally easy to use. It has tons of templates which are mobile responsive to choose from.
The templates are easy to work with and the easy to use drag and drop feature makes website designing very simple.
Cons of using Hostinger Business:
Let me speak about few cons about using Hostinger Business plan.
You get the lowest price for long duration plans such as 24 months and above. This is a common strategy which most hosting platforms use.
But yes, this is something that the users should be aware of before committing to any specific plan.
The servers are fully Unix based and support PHP.
While Unix is advantageous, this may a point to think about in case you are specifically looking for Windows-based hosting or you have only Windows expertise.
No Traditional cPanel:
If you check Hostinger’s cPanel, this does not resemble a traditional cPanel. So advanced users who are used to traditional cPanel would find this a bit different to use. On the other hand, since this is simple, it is useful for novice users.
In order to use live chat, you should be part of Hostinger’s plan. For all others, there is a general enquiry form which is available over the website.
Most hosting platforms allow new users to also have live chat support. This is something that is missing in Hostinger.
Hostinger has several benefits in its business plan. It has well-blended plans available based on user needs.
The performance, uptime, and response times metrics are equally competent. The customer support is excellent with its 24/7 live chat option.
The key takeaway is the ease of usage around its cPanel. Similarly, it has a very easy to use website builder.
Finally, each plan has several essential features embedded as part of the plan.
You do not have to pay a separate pricing for these features. Along with this, the security features provided by Hostinger are equally good.
