Guidelines: how to submit your blog post idea

It's a 2 step process.

1. Fill the form below this post to tell us more about what you’d like to write about on HostingPill's blog.

If your submission is approved, we'll contact you via email to let you know you can start writing your post.

2. Submit your blog post

You need to meet the following quality requirements.

  • Submit your post via Google Documents (only).
  • Length: Aim for a 1,500-2,000 words post.
  • Writing style should be conversational and informal.
  • Your post should be a well-written original content free of grammatical errors.
  • Each post that we receive is thoroughly checked for plagiarism. If found, you will be barred from writing any posts on our site.
  • The article should reflect the HostingPill-style of writing. Be helpful, friendly, and informative. Feel free to have a sense of humor in the article, as long as it’s respectful.
  • We do not accept sponsored articles.
  • We offer one contextual dofollow link to your website from the article.
  • Do not write posts which sound promotional in any way.
  • You can use your company name as an example in sharing experiences but only if it brings value and context to the reader.
  • We encourage you to use relevant links from other websites to illustrate your point. Please make sure to that everything that you claim is backed by facts and data.
  • We love when guest bloggers can link our older posts in their articles.
  • Always cite any images, quotes and other third party content that you use.
  • Use screenshots, images, videos to make it more interesting for the reader.
  • Avoid generic images if they don’t add any value to your content.

Additional Items Needed:

  • A short bio (2-3 sentences).
  • Links to your Twitter account and website.
  • Email address linked to a gravatar.com account.

Post-Publication:

  • We appreciate all the shares we can get. Please share your post from your personal social accounts, and your company account.
  • Keep an eye out for blog comments and respond to each, even if it’s with a simple "Thank you!."
